Everyone wants to be the picture of health, but nobody is really willing to sacrifice anything to reach that state of perfection. No matter how many times scientists prove that you need to eat a healthy diet and exercise relatively often in order to stay healthy, nobody bothers to do it. Instead, it seems that we would all rather live how we want – regardless of whatever consequences to our health may arise from our decision.

But, what if you could continue living pretty much the way you want (with maybe a slight change or two) in order to be able to be able to prevent a certain type of cancer? As it turns out, with the proper prostate nutrition, you can significantly lower your risk of developing prostate cancer and even better, with just a few changes to your diet, you can almost completely prevent some of the more deadly types of cancerous prostate tumors from appearing even if you have, for some reason, allowed your prostate cancer to grow unchecked.

A few years back, there was a major breakthrough in prostate cancer research. According to a study that took place over the course of fourteen years, scientists and doctors from several country determined that fish oils provide protection from prostate cancer. So, as the first step to proper prostate nutrition, you should consume a healthy helping of fish at least once or twice a week.

Now, you may think that you can compensate for not eating fish thorough fish oil supplements that you could find at any variety of health or nutrition stores, but it appears that this is not actually the case. You see, for proper prostate nutrition, you must consumer the fish oil with a mixture of vitamin A and vitamin D that can only be found in the proper quantities in actual fish.

Another study that contributed to the formation of a proper prostate nutrition diet is one which determined that proper amounts of selenium can help prevent prostate cancer. Several years after the original study concluded, more tests have been done that have all led to the exact same result.  Astoundingly, having a prostate nutrition diet that will give you plenty of selenium will give you a seventy percent lower chance of developing prostate cancer – even if you have a family history. The best places to get selenium for your prostate nutrition diet include meats that are high in protein and muscle content, breads made from whole wheat, walnuts, and Brazil nuts.
